Platinum Stars are looking to add new players in a quest to strengthen the squad during the current transfer window.

This was revealed by Dikwena coach Roger De Sa. So far during this January transfer window, Dikwena have acquired services of two players – midfielder Manti Mekoa and striker Letsie Koapeng. The two were debutants during Dikwena’s 1-0 loss to Cape Town City on Saturday night. De Sa says the club will add more players to make his side competitive.

“We have got the transfer window. We have got to be pretty active now. We are probably going to bring in three to four players that are going to add to the team. We continue to work on the football field and plan ahead. Hopefully by mid-month, we will be sorted and we will have our squad ready for the next five months,” said De Sa.

De Sa was left to bemoan his side’s capitulation at the hands of Cape Town City at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Saturday night.

“Once again we let it slip and I thought we were good enough to get a point maybe. I thought they got stronger and stronger as the game went on. We made silly errors, basic defensive errors. The difference is that they had three chances we had one or two but they took their chances and we didn’t. That’s where the difference was. You want to be clinical and you have got to tighten at the back. We made one mistake at the back and we were punished for it. We have got to get back and work again,” said De Sa.
