Scores of potential traffic officers are in Mpumalanga training as traffic officers. But this will come to an end very soon as the North West Provincial Government plans to have a college of its own. The Executive Council approved a proposal for the establishment of a traffic training college in the province. Speaking after the Exco meeting, MEC Sello Lehare said the provincial department of Community Safety and Transport Management is entrusted with the responsibility to ensure that it deals with all administrative requirements that will pave the way for the introduction of the college. “The details thereof will be communicated to the public once due processes would have been followed and finalised by the responsible department,” said Lehare.
