Mmusa-kgotla, the North West Youth Entrepreneurship Services is now listed as a
Schedule 3 C Public Entity in terms of the PFMA. Plans are at an advanced stage to
appoint the Board and resource the entity accordingly. YES will continue to identify
and support cooperatives and amongst these initiatives, the entity will facilitate the
Sefalana Poverty Eradication initiative to grow the basic ten food items to sustain food
security in VTSD.
The approach will ensure and require:-
• Development of Sustainable Youth Owned Enterprises
• Business Incubation and Support
• Job Creation
• Municipal Support
• Provision of tailor-made public sector services on a youth set-aside basis
• Phase 1 of the project has since been launched on 22 November 2017
