Rustenburg Business owners fled as police seize fake goods worth R8 million

Police Minister was in Rustenburg yesterday – Wednesday and many shop owners selling fake goods panicked and ran for their lives. That let police to search their premises and discovered fake goods worth more than R8 million. Minister of Police Bheki Cele visit in the North West Province ended by visiting Shopping Malls, Local Police Stations, Taxi Ranks in Rustenburg and interacted with residents.

Community Safety MEC, Dr Mpho Motlhabane led Minister Cele around and they were in the company of National Police Commissioner – General Kehla Sithole, Provincial Commissioner – Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane and Law Enforcement Officials.

Minister Cele and MEC Dr Mpho Motlhabane congratulated law enforcement officials, SAPS and Traffic Officials for their outstanding performance where they have confiscated counterfeit goods in Rustenburg and close illegal shops. He further pleaded to them to work more harder during this festive season and put all criminals behind bars.

    Can the Police and the Public Safety and the RLM do some thing about the illegal car repair work shops and open air pannel beater work shops and spaza shops the owners are selling old food and car wash places in town they are a nuisance to the comunity
