Premier and Churches pray for North West

In recent days – North West schools were under siege. Many called for God’s intervention. Three people appeared in court this week on unrelated incidents at schools that led to the killing of a pupil and a teacher. On Monday a parent appeared for assaulting a teacher and today a 14 and 17 year olds appeared separately – one for killing a fellow learner and another one for killing his maths teacher. Now Premier Job Mokgoro is organising a prayer session.
Office of the Premier in collaboration with Moral Regeneration as well as different churches across Bojanala District will hold this prayer service as part of the provincial government’s effort with different sectors of the communities to address the proliferation of dangerous weapons, substance abuse, mushrooming of gangs and moral decay.
In his determination to shape moral behaviors accepted by the society, Premier Mokgoro and stakeholders will pray against all forms of social ills which include murder, gangsterism, gender based violence, anti-xenophobic practices, political intolerance and damaging of public property.
