There will be extra 40 traffic officers on North West roads this Easter Weekend and they don’t need your coldrink. That was a warning from North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management Dr Mpho Motlhabane. The MEC was addressing the new recruits at the Provincial Pass-out parade and activation of the Easter Road Safety and Law Enforcement Operations in Mogwase this morning. Motlhabane warned the new officers to stay away from corruption. “Today we have gathered here in the activation of the 2019 Easter Road Safety and Law Enforcement Operations and further to officially welcome the newly recruited traffic officers who have completed their Road Traffic Management learnership programme. We will be targeting our townships and rural areas this Easter. We appeal to our new recruits to stay away from corruption. Banake re le barongwa pusong re ipela ka lona, chono eno ga ya fitlhelelwa ke ba bantsi, jaanong ke rata go le raya kere do not wait for tomorrow, as of today start hitting the ground running,” said Motlhabane.
