The North West Education and Sport Development MEC, Sello Lehari conveying his messages of condolences to the learners, educators and School Governing body of Thutokemaatla Secondary school near Groot Marico and Zeerust after a bus accident which claimed the lives of the two learners on Tuesday, 14 May 2019.

The North West Education and Sport Development MEC Sello Lehari, expressed his sincere condolences by saying these two learners left at an early age.
“On behalf of the department we are very much disturbed and saddened by the passing on of the two learners. We expected that these learners would complete their studies like every learner but unfortunately their lives finished at an early age.
“I am pleading with everyone to accept this loss since there was no one who could have prevented the accident. I would like to emphasise that this difficult time one day it will come to pass”, said MEC Lehari.
MEC Lehari highlighted that the department will assist the families of the deceased learners to get a dignified send – off.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday, 23 May whilst the funerals will take place on Saturday, 25 May 2019 at Groot Marico Township. The Wellness unit still continued with the counselling of learners and educators.
