Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc arround the world and the North West Provincial Government is not taking any chances. Speaking at the Media Briefing this evening – Friday 20 March 2020, North West Premeir, Job Mokgoro called on all residents to record who is coming to their events, including weddings and funerals. Prof Mokgoro said organisers must report any event to the local councilor and Health Practitioners and people who are attending must to be more than 100. He said government must know who is organising an event and people who attended. Adding to what the Premier said, North West Health MEC Madoda Sambatha said:”The issue of attendance register is very serious. We must know who attended which event. This will help us to identify anyone who attended any event that recorded Coronavirus infection. We must know who to trace if there is an infection. We urge our communities to register and keep names of people who are attending their funerals and weddings”.
