Following the announcement by the Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma of the regulations which will be in-force during a level 4 lockdown, the public are advised of the following contraventions of regulations which carry an admission of guilt fine:

Regulation 5 (1) – Charge: Failure to wear a face mask in public/covering while in public – Fine R 300.00

Regulation 5 (2) – Charge: Allowing a person to use public transport/taxi to enter a public place without wearing a face mask or covering
Fine – R 1000.00
Second Offender – R 2500.00
Third Offender – Court

Regulation 16 (1) read with regulation 31 (2) –
Charge: Failure to confine him/herself to his/her place of residence and not falling within the exceptions of Regulations 16 (2) (a) – (e) – Fine R 1000.00

Regulation 16 (1) and 16 (2) (f) – Charge: Leave place of residence to exercise outside the hours of 06H00 – 09H00 or outside a 5 KM radius of place of residence – Fine R 500.00

Regulation 16 (3) read with regulation 31 (2) – Charge: Failure to confine him/herself to his/her place of residence between 20H00 – 05H00 – Fine R1000.00

Regulation 23 read with regulation 1 and 31(1) – Charge: Convening of a gathering as defined in regulation 1 – Fine R 2000.00

Regulation 26 (1)/ (2) read with regulation 1 and 31 (2) – Charge: Selling, dispensing, distribution and transportation of liquor as defined in regulation 1 – Fine R 1000.00

Regulation 27 read with regulation 31 (2) – Charge: Selling of tobacco, tobacco products, e-cigarettes and related products – Fine R 1000.00
