One of the North West most respected leader has been laid to rest. The late Sipho Steven Vava was laid to rest today – Tuesday at Tlokweng village in the Moses Kotane Local Municipality. Vava passed on last week and he was the Speaker of the Moses Kotane Local Municipality.

The Mayor of the Moses Kotane Local Municipality, Ralesole Diale expressed his sadness and stated that Vava will always be remembered as a dedicated, hardworking councillor especially on the issues relating to running the municipality and Compliance.

Hlomane Chauke described the late Vava as a dedicated Cadre who showed good leadership qualities since his days in the ANC youth league. He further shared with mourners that the late Cllr Vava joined politics at a young age and continued to work tirelessly to improve the lives of others.

Amongst mourners who attended the funeral, there was MEC for Public Works, Oagile Molapisi, ANC NEC member, Dakota Legoete, Hlomani Chauke (IPC coordinator), Executive Mayor of Bojanala District Municipality Fetsang Molosiwa, Mayor of Moses Kotane Local Municipality Ralesole Diale, Singlewhip, Maria Matshaba as well as EXCO members.
