Covid-19 takes a swipe at government officials

The Coronavirus has started to take a swipe at government officials. This comes as the latest announcement by the MEC for the Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari that the Tirelo Building, which serves as Head Offices of the Department, has been closed due to two cases of COVID-19. The office of the MEC said that the disinfecting process was underway and offices will only be reopened on 20th July 2020.

All employees who tested positive and those identified as primary contacts of the affected colleagues have been advised to remain quarantined for 14 days to ensure the infection does not spread.

In total the Department has 17 Covid-19 cases across all four districts of the North West Province which includes 10 cases in Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality.
