Missing Taung boys found alive and healthy

Two children who went missing on Tuesday, 20 October 2020, in Matlapaneng village near Pudimoe outside Taung were found today – Wednesday – alive and healthy.

According to reports, a mother to one of the missing boys, left them playing outside the house at about 12:45 to visit their neighbours who are also relatives.  She came back at about 13:00 and only to find that the boys, Mofenyi Rashope and Thatayaone Segacwe, both aged five, were missing.  The matter was then reported to the police who have been searching for the children since.   

According to the statement from the police, the missing boys were found alive and healthy this afternoon. They were found at Mase village approximately three kilometres from Matlapaneng.
