Horrifying road accidents claims more than 15 lives in the North West during the Easter weekend. According to North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management spokesperson, Oshebeng Koonyaditse, these figures are still to be collated and are preliminary as of the Monday afternoon (05 April 2021). “Worryingly many still travel at night and at least one fatality was reported between midnight and early hours of Monday. We remind motorists once more that there is a curfew from 00:00 to 04:00. Four of these fatalities resulted from head on collision and four are pedestrians,” said Koonyaditse. Ngaka Modiri Molema district recorded more crashes but more fatalities were on N12 near Klerksdorp.
