The funeral service of the late Councillor Ranko Motlhaga was held today – Tuesday in Moruleng. Family, friends and colleagues came to pay their last respect to the late PR councillor of Moses Kotane Local Municipality.
Amongst the dignitaries who attended the funeral were, Kgosi Nyalala Pilane, Mayor of Moses Kotane Local Municipality, Ralesole Diale, Acting Speaker, Lucky Moate, The Municipal Manager, Mokopane Letsoalo, Acting Director for Corporate Services Director Segale Kotsedi, Single Whip Maria Matshaba, MPAC chairperson Thomas Manganye, MMC for Infrastructure and Technical Services, Bushy Manganye, MMC for LED, Nketu Nkotswe, MMC for finance, Lawrence Kapari, Councillor Phadie Nqothula, Councillor Radiokana and Councillor Neo Ruele.
During the time of his death, Motlhaga served as a PR councilor representing African IndependentCongress (AIC). He was also a member of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC).
Mayor Ralesole Diale said: “To the family, friends and the entire community of MKLM, this is not a loss only to the family as the MKLM we also lost someone who was dedicated to his work, in the MPAC committee. We are deeply sending our sincere condolences to his children and entire family.
Kgosi Pilane described Motlhaga as the man who loved his family and community members. “He was a very proud Mokgatla and very proud of his people, he wanted to see development in our area. He was an exceptional father who raised and educated his children. Let’s thank God for his life,” said Kgosi Pilane.
